ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have vowed to enhance the security cooperation and take measures to counter terrorism.
The Federal Minister for interior Mohsin Naqvi called on the Chinese Ambassador Xiang Xuedong in Islamabad.
The Pakistan-China bilateral relations and affairs of the common interest were negotiated.
The Chinese Ambassador condemned the suicide attack in Islamabad.
He expressed he grievance over the loss of precious lives.
He affirmed that the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign ministry has also condemned the tragic incident.
Both the officials vowed to enhance the couter-terrorism moves and the security cooperation.
The Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the Pakistan-China relations are laid on mutual trust and honour.
China is the trustworthy friend of Pakistan who has stood with us always on hard times.
Pakistan is the most victimized country of the militancy.
The Chinese Ambassador Xiang Xuedong said that China will continue its cooperation with Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan and China enjoy one of the closest and most longstanding strategic partnerships in the region, often described as an “all-weather friendship.”
Their cooperation spans multiple sectors, including defense, economy, infrastructure, energy, technology, culture, and regional security.
A major pillar of their partnership is the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a multibillion-dollar flagship project under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
CPEC focuses on improving roads, railways, ports, energy projects, and industrial zones, significantly enhancing Pakistan’s connectivity and economic potential.
Both countries also work closely in defense cooperation, conducting joint military exercises, sharing technology, and supporting each other diplomatically on global platforms.
Cultural and educational exchanges between the two nations continue to grow, with scholarships, student programs, and language institutes strengthening people-to-people ties.
China is also one of Pakistan’s leading trade partners, and both countries frequently coordinate on issues related to regional stability, counterterrorism, and development.
Overall, Pakistan–China cooperation remains deep, comprehensive, and mutually beneficial, playing a key role in shaping regional peace, connectivity, and long-term economic growth.
