Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 128 runs in 2nd ODI

DHAKA: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 128 runs in the second ODI of the three matches- series. Chasing a target of 243 runs (D/L method) in a rain affected match, Bangladesh were bowled out on just 114 runs. Maaz Sadaqat and Haris Rauf picked up three wickets each.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Pakistan were off to a bristling start as Maaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan made a 103 runs opening stand on the first wicket.

Maaz Sadaqat made his maiden half century only in his second ODI.

He scored 75 runs off just 46 balls. Salman Ali Agha made 64 runs and Rizwan too scored a well-made 44.

Rishad Hossain picked up three, whereas Mehdi Hassan Miraz got two wickets.

Bangladesh got off to a struggling start and at one stage they were 36 for 3 when rain hit the play and the D/L method was applied for the rest of the match which asked Bangladesh to score 243 runs in 32 overs.

However, Bangladeshi batters lost wickets in regular intervals and were bowled out on just 114 runs.  Litton Das scored 44 while Tawhid Hridoy made 28 runs.

Maaz Sadaqat , for his impressive all-round performance was named man of the match.
