LAHORE: In Lahore, Pakistan delivered a stunning and historic victory over Australia in the third and final T20 International match, piling up a heap of records along the way.

The national team became the first side in T20I history to dismiss Australia for under 100 runs on three separate occasions.

They also completed their second clean sweep (3-0 whitewash) in a three-match T20I series against Australia.

Pakistan posted their highest-ever T20I score against Australia — 207 runs — setting a new benchmark in their head-to-head record.

In reply, the Australian side collapsed for just 96 runs, suffering a crushing 111-run defeat — the heaviest loss in Australia’s entire T20I history.

In the bowling department, Mohammad Nawaz produced a devastating spell, claiming 5 wickets to become the first Pakistani bowler to take a five-wicket haul against Australia in T20Is.

Overall, he is now only the second Pakistani bowler to achieve a T20I five-for, following in the footsteps of Umar Gul.

Shaheen Shah Afridi reached another milestone by completing 25 wickets in the first over of T20I matches ,  a testament to his lethal new-ball skills.

With the bat, captain Babar Azam created history by breaking the record for the most half-centuries in T20Is.

His unbeaten fifty took his tally to 39 fifties, making him the most successful batter in the format in terms of 50-plus scores.
