Pakistan wins the Rising Stars Asia Cup Final

DOHA: Pakistan beat Bangladesh in the final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup final in the super over.

Bangladesh leveled the Pakistan’s total of 126 runs and the match had to be moved to a super over to decide the winner.

Two Bangladeshi batter were out after scoring six runs including five wides.

Pakistan needed a target to 7 runs in the super over. Pakistan got the target on the 4th ball of the over.

Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out on 125 runs after being sent into bat Bangladesh.

Saad Masood made 38 runs while Arafat Minhas and Maaz Sadaqat scored 25 and 23 runs respectively.

Rippon Mondol picked up three, while Rakib Al Hasan picked up two wickets from Bangladesh.

At one stage Bangladesh were struggling at 56 for 7 however Rakib al Hasan and Meherob made the chase alive by making a quick-fired 40 runs partnership after that.

However, both were dismissed one after the other. Sufyan Muqeem bowled a magnificent spell and  picked up 3 wickets in his 3 overs so far.

Arafat Minhas has two wickets to his name while Masood too has picked up a wicket. Habib ur Rehman Sohan, the Bangladeshi opener scored 26 runs.

At one stage Bangladesh were struggling at 56 for 7 however Rakib al Hasan and Meherob made the chase alive by making a quick-fired 40 runs partnership after that.
