ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reasserted its strong support for a peaceful resolution of the Yemen crisis through dialogue and diplomacy, focusing on its commitment to regional peace, stability, and cooperation.
In this regard, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andarabi stated that Pakistan firmly believes negotiations and diplomatic engagement are the only viable path toward ending the prolonged conflict.
He said Pakistan consistently advocates peaceful solutions to regional disputes and encourages all parties involved in Yemen to pursue dialogue in the interest of long-term stability.
Furthermore, the spokesperson underlined Pakistan’s readiness to play a constructive role in strengthening the values of partnership, brotherhood, and unity to help promote lasting peace in the region.
“Pakistan remains prepared at all times to contribute positively toward regional peace and stability by supporting cooperation and collective efforts,” he said.
In such a scenario, Andarabi focused on the country’s complete respect for Yemen’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. He noted that Pakistan considers these principles essential for any sustainable and peaceful settlement of the crisis.
Moreover, the Foreign Office spokesperson also welcomed the positive initiatives taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, expressing hope that these efforts would help facilitate peace and contribute to a negotiated settlement in Yemen. According to him, such initiatives reflect a sincere commitment to ending the conflict and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Andarabi said Pakistan highly values the wisdom and foresight demonstrated by the leadership of Saudi Arabia and the UAE in addressing the complex situation in Yemen. He added that the efforts of these brotherly countries reflect a shared regional resolve to promote peace, security, and stability.
“The initiatives undertaken by Saudi Arabia and the UAE demonstrate a collective determination to bring peace to the region,” the spokesperson said. “Pakistan appreciates these efforts and remains supportive of all constructive steps aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution.”
He reasserted that Pakistan stands ready to cooperate with regional and international partners to help strengthen peace-building efforts. The spokesperson stressed that unity, mutual respect, and diplomatic engagement are critical to resolving conflicts and ensuring long-term stability in the Middle East.
