Pak-Afghan Chaman border to reopen soon

Chaman: After the military attacks from the either side and the strain between the two countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan have vowed to reopen the Pak-Afghan Chaman border.

The border Is set to reopen in another next 24 to 48 hours’ time after a one-week-closure.

The officials have confirmed that if no more disputes erupt, the border will be reopened.

The Afghan refugees were stuck on the Chaman border during the strain between the two countries. Afghan Trucks carried those immigrants with them to Afghanistan.

Simililary, 2000 Pakistani truck drivers stuck on the Spin Boldak gate also returned to the Pakistani area.

The people on the either side have welcomed the decision of the reopening of border.

Traders in particular have felt an immense relief on the decision made by the officials.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan have made the strain between the two countries erupted when the Afghanistan’s forces launched an attack from the border on Pakistan’s territory.

Pakistan gave a befitting response by not only launching a counter-attack on the border but also by targeting the militants’ havens and hideouts inside Afghanistan.

The Pakistani security forces killed over 200 Taliban militants during the clashes between the two countries.

The peace talks between the two countries were carried out in Doha, Qatar, in which, both the countries resolved not to let the militants operate from one country in the other country.

Pakistan also expressed its hope that the Afghan government will stand by peace agreement.

Pakistan has a long-standing demand that Kabul should no longer be backing the Indian-backed militants on their territory to launch attacks in KP and Balochistan.

Thousands of innocent civilians and security personnel have been killed in those attacks.

Pakistan have made it clear that any further attacks on the Pakistani soil will lead the armed forces to launch attacks on the militants’ posts in Afghanistan.
