ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has reasserted its resolve to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, warning India that any aggression in the future will be met with an even stronger response. In this regard, Air Vice Marshal Shehryar Khan declared that “this time the score will not be 6/0, but 60/0,” indicating the PAF’s preparedness and confidence in defending national airspace.
The remarks came as Pakistan marked Defence Day in order to pay a tribute to the sacrifices of its armed forces and martyrs, while also reasserting the country’s commitment to safeguarding its territorial integrity.
Furthermore, Air Vice Marshal Sheheryar Khan referred to the events that followed an Indian strike near Bahawalpur, which Pakistan described as an unprovoked act of aggression. In addition, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, an aerial campaign aimed at demonstrating Pakistan’s defensive and offensive strength.
During the operation, Pakistani fighter pilots successfully engaged Indian Air Force jets in challenging dogfights, downing six aircraft and returning to base safely. The operation drew international attention, with global observers recognizing Pakistan’s military professionalism and strategic capabilities.

On the other hand, notably, then US President Donald Trump publicly acknowledged Pakistan’s role in maintaining regional balance, appreciating the professionalism of its forces during the May 7–9 aerial operations.
