QUETTA: At least over 1,800 Pakistanis returned from home via Taftan border, following the security instability in Iran, a significant number of Pakistani nationals have returned home via the Taftan border, according to a statement by the Chaghi District Administration. On Thursday alone, 1,814 individuals crossed back into Pakistan, highlighting the scale of the ongoing repatriation effort.
Breakdown of Returnees Includes: 428 religious pilgrims (Zaireen), 655 international students, 566 Pakistani tourists, 160 deportees, 5 foreign nationals
According to officials, 112 tourists and 24 students arrived during the night hours, suggesting round-the-clock movement across the Pakistan-Iran border.
Official conrded b;apcj, confirmed that border security, immigration services, and health screening facilities have been fully activated to handle the influx. “We are ensuring safe, efficient, and dignified return procedures for all individuals coming from Iran,” he said. Medical check-ups, transport arrangements, and temporary shelter are being provided as needed.

With the situation in Iran remaining volatile, daily monitoring and cross-border management protocols have been enforced. Immigration officials, Levies personnel, and the Balochistan Health Department are working in coordination to ensure border operations are secure and efficient.
