The Additional Chief Secretary of Balochistan Hamza Shafqaat stated that during 78,000 operations carried out across the province, more than 700 terrorists linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan have been eliminated.
He was addressing a press conference alongside the Inspector General of CTD Balochistan.
While briefing media representatives, he said that three terrorists were arrested during a targeted operation in Kharan, which was conducted on the basis of sensitive intelligence.
He informed that a total of 707 terrorists have so far been killed, and a key suspect involved in the murder of a Station House Officer (SHO) in Kharan has also been apprehended.
According to him, the arrested suspect confessed that he had been instructed to abduct the SHO Qasim Baloch. During the abduction attempt, the SHO resisted, after which he was martyred.
He said that the militants have started their attacks on the innocent civilians now.
The incident took place in October. He added that all institutions carried out joint operations, and detailed reports of ground operations and drone strikes are regularly shared with the federal government.
The Additional Chief Secretary further revealed that 202 security personnel have embraced martyrdom during these operations.
He also stated that terrorists belonging to Fitna-e-Hindustan have martyred more than 200 civilians in Quetta alone.
Efforts are currently underway to arrest the remaining associates of the terrorists captured in Kharan.
The IG CTD Balochistan said that they only wanted to kidnap the SHO but they brutally killed him. He said that the arrested militants will be brought to the court and the justice will be served.
He said that the Afghan naitonals are also there in the militants camps. He disclosed that the militants were also involved in the Nokundi FC Headquarters attack.
The Additonal chief Secretary for interior Hamza Shafqaat futher said that the closure of national highways and mobile internet is good if it ensures peace and stability in Balochistan.
He said that the reports say that the Assistant Commisioner Ziarat Mohammad Afzal Baqi has been martyred.
He said that the weapons snatched during the attack on the Kharan Judicial Complex have also been recovered in the operation.
