ISLAMABAD: In a bold cyber offensive dubbed Operation Salar, Pakistani hackers have successfully targeted and defaced four major Indian websites.
The operation is being hailed as a direct response to what is being termed as India’s ongoing cyber terrorism against Pakistan. The hashtag #OperationSalar is rapidly trending across social media platforms, with users lauding the coordinated cyber retaliation.
Cyber experts in Pakistan state that this digital pushback aims to expose India’s hostile cyber activities and demonstrate Pakistan’s capabilities in the virtual battleground.
Meanwhile Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has firmly stated that India cannot be allowed to act as judge, jury, and executioner by using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext for aggression.
Speaking to Turkish media, DG ISPR said that Indian forces have been deliberately targeting civilian populations across the Line of Control (LoC) through unprovoked firing and shelling.
He clarified that the Pakistan Army has only responded to fire from specific Indian posts using small arms and has not initiated any drone, rocket, or air attacks.

He dismissed Indian claims of Pakistani aerial aggression as baseless and fictitious, adding that in modern warfare, every strike leaves behind electronic evidence — something India has failed to provide.
