QUETTA: In a successful intelligence-based operation named Pehrud Cleanser-I, security forces in Balochistan dismantled a key network of the Indian-sponsored terrorist group “Fitna Al-Hindustan” (BLA).
The operation began on July 18 following credible intelligence reports about planned attacks on passenger buses traveling from Quetta to Karachi.
Led by the Special Services Group (SSG), four specialized teams were deployed via helicopters to target locations.
With aerial support from Army Aviation and coordinated ground efforts by FC North and FC South, the three-day-long operation inflicted heavy casualties and losses on the enemy.
During the operation, 10 terrorists were killed—5 in direct ground combat with SSG commandos and 5 in targeted airstrikes.
A large cache of weapons, explosives, bomb-making materials, wireless communication devices, flags of Fitna Al-Hindustan, solar panels, food supplies, motorcycles, medical tools, and surgical kits were recovered from the terrorists’ camp.
The base was completely destroyed; it had been operating as a long-term militant outpost.
Authorities described the operation as a major milestone in the ongoing intelligence-driven campaign against terrorism in Balochistan.
