BAJAUR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has imposed Section 144 in 27 areas of the Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district to carry out targeted operations against Fitna al Khawarij, infiltrated from Afghanistan.
The home department said public movement will be restricted for 12 hours in some areas and up to 72 hours in others.
According to a notification, Section 144 will be in force for 12 hours on 11th August 2025, from 11:00 AM, on the following roads:
- Khar–Munda Road
- Khar–Nawagai Road
- Khar–Pusht Salarzai Road
- Khar–Sadiqabad–Inayat Killi Road
Another notification stated that a complete movement ban will apply for three days, from 11:00 AM on 11th August to 11:00 AM on 14th August, in the following areas:
Laghari, Gowati, Ghanam Shah, Bad Siah, Kamar, Amanta, Zagai, Gat, Ghundai, Garigal, Niyag Killi, Raigai, Dag, Damadola, Sultan Beg, Chotra, Sheen Kot, Gang, Jewar, Inaam Khoro, Chengai, Anga, Safri, Bar Gatkai, Kharki, Shakro, and Bakro.
During this period, leaving homes or travelling on roads will be strictly prohibited. The public has been asked to finish all activities by 10:30 AM and stay indoors.
The notification warns that violators will be held responsible for any untoward incidents.
Bajaur district administration has conveyed the same instructions to the public, a source said.
