LAHORE: The Punjab government has officially introduced a structured online registration process for citizens seeking to benefit from the petrol subsidy program.
In this regard, residents can now apply for the subsidy from the comfort of their homes through the designated government portal. Applicants are required to visit the official website and begin by creating a personal account.
This initial step involves entering basic personal information, ensuring accuracy to avoid any delays in the application process.
So far, the users must verify their identity through a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number.
After successful account verification, applicants can log in again to proceed with their request. The process requires users to select the “Register New Complaint” option on the portal.
The government has reasserted its commitment to a fair and merit-based distribution system. In addition, upon submission of the application, users will receive a confirmation message acknowledging receipt of their request.
The Punjab government stated that the initiative is part of broader efforts to ease the financial burden on citizens during a period of economic challenges.
The launch of the online registration system indicates the government’s focus on leveraging technology to improve public service delivery and ensure that relief measures are implemented in a streamlined and accountable manner.
