Turbat Taleemi Chowk Blast: Two Passers-by Injured

GULISTAN: A powerful explosion ripped through an illicit crystal methamphetamine factory in the Nook area of Gulistan on Thursday, killing one person and leaving six others seriously injured, according to local sources.

The factory was owned by Haji Qasim Ghairi and Nasir Khan. The blast was so intense that its sound was heard across a wide area, spreading panic among residents.

Injured individuals were rushed to a nearby local hospital for first aid before being referred to Quetta for advanced medical treatment.

Following the incident, local citizens staged a strong protest and demanded that the commissioner take immediate and strict legal action against such factories. Residents alleged that illegal activities were being conducted under the guise of these facilities, leading to thousands of young people in the area falling victim to drug addiction.

“These factories are ruining the new generation. They must be sealed immediately to save our youth from this disaster,” a local resident said.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the explosion or any planned crackdown on such operations in the region.
