ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended a reduction in gas prices for Balochistan and Sindh.
According to details, OGRA approved changes in gas prices for Sui Northern and Sui Southern. OGRA also recommended an increase for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Sui Southern approved a reduction of Rs 103.95 and Sui Northern approved a gas price increase of Rs 116.90 per MMBTU. After approval from the government, a notification will be issued by OGRA.
The increase in gas prices for Sui Northern was due to the increase in RLNG imports. OGRA has also directed the federal government to take up the issue of SNGPL regarding gas management with the federal government.

OGRA has recommended the federal government to fix category-wise gas prices, keeping in mind the shortfall of the companies in the financial year 2025-26.
