DERA BUGTI: In Sui, a separatist leader Noor Ali Chakrani, along with more than 100 of his supporters, has laid down arms and joined the national mainstream.
According to reports, a formal ceremony was held where Noor Ali Chakrani pledged allegiance to the State of Pakistan.
Prominent tribal leader Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti welcomed him during the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti urged other individuals in the mountainous regions to also surrender their weapons and return, contributing positively to the development of Dera Bugti and the broader Balochistan region.
In a significant development for peace and stability in Balochistan, several Baloch separatist leaders and their followers have decided to abandon armed struggle and join the national mainstream.
These leaders, who once sought to challenge state authority through militancy, are now pledging allegiance to Pakistan and committing to constructive participation in the socio-economic development of their regions.
Their decision marks an important step toward reconciliation, as it not only reduces violence but also opens avenues for dialogue, development projects, and community engagement.
Prominent tribal and political leaders have welcomed these moves, emphasizing that returning to the national fold provides a platform to contribute positively to local governance, education, health, and infrastructure.
Such transitions also serve as an example for other groups in the region, highlighting that peaceful engagement and cooperation with the state can lead to lasting stability, enhanced development, and stronger national unity.
The reintegration of separatists is expected to foster trust, reduce conflict, and pave the way for a more prosperous and secure Balochistan.
