Local councils in Balochistan are the foundational tier of governance, playing a key role in delivering basic services and resolving community-level issues.

These councils include Union Councils, Municipal Committees, and District Councils, which operate under the Local Government Act.

Their responsibilities range from overseeing water supply, sanitation, local infrastructure, and education to facilitating development projects.
