QUETTA: Employees and workers of municipal institutions across the province continue to suffer from non-payment of salaries and pensions with many struggling to provide food for their family amid soaring inflation.
According to reports, the employees still waiting to receive the salary for the month of August and pensions have also not been paid to elderly pensioners. The late payment of salaries every month, especially to Grade 4 employees, is a deeply regrettable and condemnable practice.
While talking to local media, Khan Zaman, central president of the Balochistan Labour Federation strongly condemned the Finance Department’s inefficiency. They urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan to ensure timely payment of salaries and pensions instead of merely making claims.
