No peace without solving Kashmir, Palestine: Zardari

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari said that global peace would remain incomplete without a just settlement of the Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) disputes, stressing that dialogue and justice were central to a peaceful world order.

He issued a crucial message at the occasion of International Day of Peace, President Zardari underlined that the day should not merely be seen as the absence of conflict, but as a call for promoting equality, tolerance, and justice.

The President noted that Pakistan maintained balanced relations with global powers and was recognized by the international community as a partner in conflict resolution efforts.

In this regard, he highlighted Pakistan’s contributions, Zardari recalled the country’s longstanding participation in United Nations peacekeeping missions, where Pakistani personnel had served in some of the world’s most volatile regions.

The President focused on the importance of nurturing the younger generation in values of tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect, calling it essential for building societies free from violence and extremism.

He urged the global community to prefer cooperation and dialogue over weapons and conflict, stressing that Pakistan is ready to play its role in a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.

Furthermore, the President reiterated that Pakistan would continue to support international efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting stability. He expressed hope that nations would work together to replace division with cooperation and conflict with understanding.
