GWADAR : Propaganda accounts associated with Fitna Al-Hindustan (the Baloch Liberation Army – BLA) have been circulating false news about an attack in the Jiwani area of Gwadar, local sources and officials confirmed on Thursday.
Authorities have categorically dismissed social media posts claiming an explosion occurred in Jiwani. Local sources told Burak Baloch that no such incident took place in the said area, urging the public to ignore the misleading reports.
This is not the first time insurgent elements have spread false news to create fear and panic among the public, officials noted. The latest disinformation campaign appears aimed at disrupting peace and normalcy in the coastal region.
Local administration and law enforcement agencies have reiterated that the security situation in Gwadar and its surrounding areas, including Jiwani, remains under control. Citizens have been advised to rely only on official sources for information and not to share unverified posts on social media.
No casualties or damage have been reported, as no incident actually occurred. Authorities have said they are monitoring the situation and may take action against those responsible for spreading the false propaganda.
