New Zealand make a history in ODI cricket

INDORE: New Zealand Beat India in the 3rd ODI to wrap up their first ever series win on the Indian soil in ODIs. Chasing down a massive target of 338 set by New Zealand, India fought hard but fell short by 41 runs in the end being bowled out on 296. Virat Kohli made another sensation knock of 124 runs and led his side attempting a historic runs chase but Indian hopes ended with his dismissal.

Earlier New Zealand scored 337 for 8 with the help of centuries scored by Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips. Mitchell scored 137 runs while Phillips made 106 runs.

Will Young added 30 whereas Bracewell made 28 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana picked up three wickets each.

India lost wickets earlier while coming out for the runs chase. Rohit Sharma got out for just 11 runs whereas Skipper Shubhman gill made 23 runs. Virat Kohli stood firmly on one-end ensuring not only to keep his wicket intact but also scored more than a run-a ball. He moved along nicely giving India a hope of series win.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana gave him a good support as both the batters scored half centuries before they got out.

Kohli too got dismissed in the 46th over and so did the last batter Kuldeep Yadav with their team ending up the series loss. Foulks and  Clarke picked up three wickets each.

This is the first ever series win for New Zealand against Indian on the Indian soil.

New Zealand had also whitewashed India in the test series last year.
