QUETTA: The Provincial government of Balochistan has launched a new road infrastructure project aimed at strengthening connectivity between remote villages and Qalat city.
According to details, the initiative part of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is already making visible progress on the ground. The new road infrastructure project is more than just an exercise in development it is a strategic move to unlock economic potential, improve mobility, and enhance access to services for rural communities long cut off from the city center.
While reacting on the development project in the area, the local resident said that these roads are lifelines to the local people, they mean faster access to hospitals, schools, and markets and new chances for our youth.”
By easing transport and boosting rural-urban links, the project is expected to revitalize local markets, reduce transportation costs, and integrate remote communities into Qalat’s growing economy. Officials describe it as a key step in promoting inclusive growth and addressing long-standing geographic inequalities.
