New list of the world's richest people has arrived, Elon Musk's wealth hits new record

The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, is approaching the historic milestone of becoming the world’s first trillionaire, as global billionaire wealth has reached its highest level in history.

The recently released Forbes World Billionaires List indicates that the number of billionaires worldwide has climbed to a record 3,428 individuals.

Musk has experienced an extraordinary rise in his personal fortune over the past year.

Forbes notes that Musk has already become the first individual in history whose wealth has crossed the 800-billion-dollar mark, placing him closer than anyone before him to the trillionaire milestone.

The report also mentions several global economic trends that have contributed to the rapid growth in billionaire wealth.

The overall wealth of billionaires also witnessed a significant surge, increasing by nearly 4 trillion dollars compared with the previous year and reaching the record figure of 20.1 trillion dollars.

The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, holds an estimated net worth of 224 billion dollars. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive of Meta Platforms, possesses wealth valued at around 222 billion dollars.

They rank fourth and fifth respectively on the global rich list.

Geographically, the United States continues to host the largest number of billionaires, with a total of 989 individuals.

China ranks second with 610 billionaires, including those from Hong Kong, while India stands third with 229 billionaires.

The report further noted that the wealth of former U.S. President Donald Trump has also grown by approximately 27 percent. His net worth currently stands at around 6.5 billion dollars, placing him at 645th position on the global billionaire ranking.
