CM Balochistan inaugurates library in Sui

QUETTA:  The Chief minister Balochistan has inaugurated a new library in Sui area of Dera Bugti.

In new Balochistan News Updates, CM Sarfaraz Bugti has inaugurated a new library in Sui area of Balochistan.

Sarfaraz Bugti ha said that the youth should make friends with books instead of social media.

He said that the government is focused on promoting book-reading in Balochistan.

He said that the provincial government has already taken immense education friendly measures in Balochistan.

Reopening of schools as well as launching community schools is a key to step ahead for the progression of education in Balochistan.

He further announced the delivery of 200 books for the library.

The CM Balochistan further said that it has become unavoidable to grow and excel in the field of education to defeat illiteracy, militancy and foreign conspiracy.

He said that special incentives are being offered to the students including training in China and offering them with the scholarships.
Libraries in Balochistan play an important but often understated role in promoting education and literacy across the province.

Major cities such as Quetta host key facilities like the Provincial Library, Balochistan Public Library, and university libraries that serve students, researchers, and the general public.

These institutions provide access to academic resources, newspapers, and digital materials, supporting higher education and competitive exam preparation.

However, many districts face a shortage of well-equipped libraries. Rural areas often lack proper buildings, updated collections, and trained staff, limiting opportunities for reading and research.

Government initiatives and non-governmental efforts have started to address these gaps by introducing mobile libraries, digital reading rooms, and community-based learning centers.
