Naval Chief's declaration: Pakistan's defense security is our honor

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf reasserted that Pakistan’s defense remains impregnable and warned that any act of aggression by the enemy will be met with a decisive response.

The Naval Chief underlined the vital role of the Pakistan Navy in safeguarding the nation’s maritime frontiers. He noted that during past conflicts, the Navy’s vigilance and determination kept the Indian naval fleet restricted to its own territorial waters, a testament to Pakistan’s enduring resilience.

In this regard, the Pakistan Navy indicated the Defence Day with national fervor and solemnity. The day began with special prayers offered in all naval mosques for the peace, security, and prosperity of the country.

Furthermore, at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, Admiral Naveed Ashraf laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha to honor the sacrifices of the Navy’s martyrs and veterans.

He paid glowing tributes to the valor and dedication of the Shuhada (martyrs) and Ghazis (war veterans), focusing on the fact that their courage continues to inspire the armed forces in carrying forward their mission of national defense.

Moreover, the ceremonies were also held at field commands and naval headquarters across the country where officers and sailors gathered to pay homage to fallen heroes.

So far, on Defence Day, observed annually on September 6, commemorates the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and citizens who defended the nation during the 1965 war.
