National Party distributes tickets, pledges to address hurdles in Zarghun Town

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Balochistan have expressed strong confidence in securing the mayor's seat in Quetta, declaring that the party will "fully participate" in the upcoming local body elections scheduled for December.

QUEETA: The National Party (NP) convened a strategic meeting for its candidates contesting in the upcoming local government elections in Quetta’s Zarghun Town, focusing on resolving administrative hurdles and solidifying its campaign platform.

The meeting, chaired by NP Central Secretary General Mir Kabir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, centered on elections for Union Councils 3 and 8. With Central Vice President Dr. Muhammad Ishaq Baloch as a special guest, all nominated candidates and officials attended to discuss political and administrative challenges.

Candidates openly presented the issues faced in their respective wards. In response, the senior leadership assured them the party would develop a clear strategy to address these problems and provide a supportive environment. The leaders emphasized the NP’s commitment to contesting the elections on the platform of a “peaceful and prosperous Balochistan,” leveraging public strength and intellectual political discourse.

Mir Kabir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi stressed that ensuring transparent local elections is a constitutional responsibility of the government, vital for upholding public opinion. He stated the NP would actively defend the people’s mandate and work to unite public strength for electoral transparency, which he described as the foundation of basic public rights.

The conclave concluded with the formal distribution of party tickets to the candidates from both union councils by the central leadership, who expressed confidence that the nominees would utilize all their capabilities to ensure a resounding success for the party.

Meanwhile in a seperate campagin , speaking at a ceremony to issue party tickets for Zarghun Town constituencies PB-41, PB-42, and PB-43, senior leaders vowed the PPP would contest fully and emerge victorious. Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and PPP Zarghun Town Committee head, Mir Liaquat Lehri, alongside PPP Balochistan General Secretary Rabbani Khan Kakar and former Senator Lala Rozi Khan Kakar, distributed tickets to candidates contesting across various Union Councils and wards.

The leaders, including Haji Naseebullah Achakzai, Dr. Obaid Kakar, and Engineer Ehsan Khilji, emphasized that local bodies are the backbone of democracy. They argued that empowered local governments would directly address the day-to-day problems faced by residents at their doorsteps.
