NASEERABAD: A high-level meeting was held on Thursday to review the anti-polio campaign in the district. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, the meeting included representatives from the Health Department, the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The participants discussed the challenges faced during the previous vaccination drive, including parents refusing to allow their children to receive the polio drops.
DC Kakar emphasized that eradicating polio is a national duty and that no negligence would be tolerated. He issued strict directives for health teams to administer the vaccine to every child through a door-to-door campaign and ordered that complete monitoring of the effort be ensured.
