The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a modern and user-friendly digital service aimed at making identity record updates easier for Pakistani citizens.
The citizens can now update or correct certain details in their national identity records without visiting NADRA offices, using the Pak-Identity mobile application from the comfort of their homes.
The new service has been launched to improve public convenience and eliminate long waiting times at registration centers. The facility allows citizens to update non-printable information related to their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) through an online process.
This step is expected to save both time and effort for applicants while reducing unnecessary travel. Moreover, the Pak-Identity mobile application has been designed with step-by-step guidance to ensure ease of use for all users.
The application process is simple, transparent, and accessible, allowing citizens to submit requests for record correction without facing technical difficulties. Personal information can be reviewed and updated online in a secure manner, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
In such a scenario, NADRA focused on that the new service is fast, user-friendly, and cost-effective, with a nominal fee charged for processing.
The authority aims to reduce additional expenses incurred by citizens, such as transportation costs and lost work hours. The digital process also minimizes delays commonly associated with manual procedures.
Meanwhile, NADRA clarified that this initiative is part of its broader digitization policy, which focuses on modernizing Pakistan’s identity management system.
The authority aims to expand online services and reduce reliance on physical visits to government offices. The organization believes that this new facility will bring notable ease in the management and maintenance of identity documents.
