QUETTA: Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has accepted resignation of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, head of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal, on Wednesday.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal, as elected as an MNA from Khuzdar (NA-256) in the general elections held on February 8, had resigned from his seat on September 2024.
He had cited worsing security situation in Balochistan.
The “prevailing situation in Balochistan has compelled me to take this step”, he had said in his resignation letter addressed to NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
“Our province has consistently been marginalised and ignored by this House. Each day, we are pushed further against the wall, leaving us with no choice but to reconsider our roles.
