Mortar shell hits house in Bajaur, injuring four family members

PESHAWAR: As many four members of a single family were injured on Thursday, when a mortar shell hit their home in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Bajaur police spokesperson Israr Salarzai told local news outlet that the incident occurred in the Gohati area of Mamund tehsil. The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. One injured person is reported to be in critical condition.

It is worth to be noted that the incident comes in the wake of a recent security operation in the region. On July 29, local authorities imposed a three-day curfew across 16 locations in Bajaur as part of a crackdown on militant activity.
