QUETTA: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Quetta, where he, along with Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti, went to the residence of martyred Major Anwar Kakar in Kakar Town, Sariab Road.
Mohsin Naqvi and Sarfraz Bugti met the mother, brothers, and young sons of Major Anwar Kakar and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy.
They paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Major Anwar Kakar, who embraced martyrdom in a cowardly attack carried out by Indian-sponsored terrorists.
Both leaders offered Fateha for the eternal reward of the martyred officer and praised the courage and resilience of his mother. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi showed affection to the sons of the martyr, comforting them and expressing fatherly care.
Speaking on the occasion, the mother of Major Anwar Kakar said that her son was brave and sacrificed his life for the homeland.
She expressed pride in his martyrdom and stated that her two other sons are also ready to serve the country.
Mohsin Naqvi announced that the second son of the martyred Major will also be admitted to Aitchison College. Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti announced a government job for the martyr’s brother, Khudaidad Khan, and declared that a school would be named after Major Anwar Kakar.
Mohsin Naqvi praised the martyr’s mother, saying she is the courageous mother of a brave son of Pakistan and the entire nation is proud of her.
He added that her determination and spirit are the true strength of the nation and that the sacrifices of martyrs are a guarantee of the country’s security.
Sarfraz Bugti stated that Major Anwar Kakar laid down his precious life for the homeland and attained the highest rank of martyrdom. He said the nation salutes his great sacrifice and that martyrs will always live in the hearts of the people. He added that martyrs are the pride of the nation and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Prayers were also offered for patience and strength for the bereaved family. Provincial ministers, the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, and the Inspector General of Police Balochistan were also present on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning that Major Anwar Kakar was martyred some time ago in Quetta during a cowardly blast carried out by Indian-sponsored terrorists.
