Mohmand: Joint security operation targets terrorist hideouts

MOHMAND: Security Forces, in coordination with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and North Frontier Corps, launched a large-scale joint operation in Mohmand.

The joint action was initiated after credible intelligence reports regarding the presence of terrorists in the region. In this sense, several suspected hideouts were identified and successfully destroyed through precision strikes.

Furthermore, personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) displayed exceptional bravery by risking their own lives to rescue and evacuate injured police officials from the battlefield.

So far, the entire area was cordoned off to prevent the escape of terrorists. In this regard, the residents of Mohmand reported hearing heavy firing and witnessing smoke from targeted hideouts. However, they expressed relief that security forces were actively working to dismantle militant infrastructure that has disrupted the peace of the area in recent months.

Meanwhile, the joint security operation in Mohmand is part of a broader national strategy to counter terrorism and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty.
