Mir Liaquat Lehri Slams the CM of his own Party

QUETTA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Mir Liaquat Lehri, has accused the Chief Minister of Balochistan of incompetence, claiming that he neither performs his duties nor allows others to work.

He urged PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari to take notice of the Chief Minister’s actions, which he said are tarnishing the party’s image and weakening it in the province.

Lehri announced that he would play his role on the assembly floor to end the current government led by what he termed an “incompetent chief minister.”

Speaking at a consultative meeting with his constituency’s people regarding the upcoming local government elections, Lehri thanked party workers, youth, and residents for their participation.

He said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss strategies for the elections to ensure the devolution of power and address long-standing local issues at the grassroots level.

Lehri highlighted the development work he has undertaken, including projects on Arbab Karam Khan Road, Brewery Road, and other areas using all available funds for public welfare.

He reaffirmed the PPP’s manifesto of “Roti, Kapra aur Makan” (bread, clothing, and shelter) and said the party continues to serve people under this vision.

He criticized the Chief Minister for relying only on a few bureaucrats and lacking the ability to deliver.

“The CM knows how to talk but not how to work,” Lehri said, adding that despite repeated promises, no development projects have been completed, and unemployment and lawlessness are on the rise.

Lehri stated that the province’s worsening condition is due to the incompetence of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, vowing to raise the issue in the assembly.

He said the PPP would bring a true party loyalist to the Chief Minister’s position someone who would work sincerely for Balochistan’s development, end inflation and insecurity, and create employment opportunities for the people.
