Minister Raheela urges youth to embrace modern skills for a secure future

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Education, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani has said that youth need to acquire modern, professional education and technical skills to meet contemporary demands.

Provincial minister said that education is the only way to a secure and stable future, enabling young people to serve their country and nation in the best possible way.

Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of the Job Fair 2025 organized by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Balochistan Campus. The event featured innovative student-designed projects in fields like artificial intelligence, agriculture, livestock, and more, presented by students from Computer Science and Civil Engineering departments.

She further said that our youth need proper direction so they can shape their future and play a significant role in the development and prosperity of both the province and the country.

Regarding the government efforts, Minister informed that in the current one-year tenure, 3400 closed schools have been reopened, and employment has been provided to 7000 youth. She assured that the government will continue to create opportunities for youth across various sectors by utilizing available resources.

She also praised the efforts of NUST Balochistan Campus, noting that the Job Fair is a reflection of the immense talent and capabilities of the province’s youth, who are capable of excelling in any field. She called NUST Balochistan a premier institution offering quality education aligned with the modern era, serving as a unique platform for research, innovation, and career opportunities.

Minister further said that the university is providing Balochistan’s students with the tools to face future challenges and unlock their intellectual and academic potential. At the end of the event, NUST Balochistan Campus Dean and Director Professor Dr. Mughis Aslam presented a souvenir to the Minister.
