ISLAMABAD: The Intelligence Bureau Division and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have jointly arrested four operatives of a TTP terror cell involved in the Judicial Complex attack.
During interrogation, Suicide Bomber Handler Sajidullah, alias Shina, confessed that the attack was orchestrated under the instructions of TTP Fatah-ul-Khawarij commander Saeed-ur-Rehman, alias Dadullah, who is a resident of Charmang, Bajaur, and currently based in Afghanistan.
Sajidullah revealed that Dadullah, serving as TTP’s intelligence chief for the Nawagai area of Bajaur, contacted him via Telegram to carry out the suicide attack with the aim of inflicting maximum damage on law enforcement agencies.
Dadullah also sent Sajidullah photos of the suicide bomber Usman, alias Qari, whom Sajidullah was responsible for receiving in Pakistan.
Usman belonged to the Shinwari tribe and hailed from Achin, Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
Upon arriving in Pakistan, Sajidullah accommodated Usman in a suburb of Islamabad.
Following Dadullah’s instructions, Sajidullah obtained a suicide jacket from Akhan Baba cemetery in Peshawar, brought it to Islamabad, and fitted it on Usman on the day of the attack. The TTP leadership in Afghanistan provided guidance at every step.
Authorities have confirmed that the entire cell involved in the attack has been apprehended, including the operational commander and three associates.
Investigations are ongoing, and further arrests are expected.
Additionally, the facilitator who arranged accommodation for the suicide bomber and the property owner have been taken into custody.
Sources revealed that the bomber had previously entered Pakistan on a visa and had traveled multiple times between Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2024.
Twenty-three days before the attack, he entered Pandpracha with an accomplice.
