Havens of BLA, TTP and ISIS are in Afghanistan: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Addressing a key press conference in Rawalpindi, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the fight against terrorism is a war belonging to the entire nation.

He highlighted that successful operations were conducted against terrorism last year, noting that this battle has been ongoing for two decades and the focus must remain on tangible actions taken. Significant measures have been implemented to counter terrorism.

The DG ISPR described terrorists as agents of “Fitna Al-Hindustan” (sedition from India), emphasizing that both Fitna Al-Khawarij (extremist sedition) and Fitna Al-Hindustan have no connection to Baloch identity or Pakistan itself. The state remains fully committed to eradicating terrorism.

He asserted that the Khawarij (extremists) have no link to Islam. Police forces carried out 75,175 intelligence-based operations, along with an additional 14,658 operations.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3,811 terrorism incidents occurred last year, while this year has seen 5,397 such incidents. Solely in the current year, 2,597 terrorists have been eliminated.
