ISLAMABAD: Renowned Social Activist Muhammad Ali Achakzai stated during a special appearance on Buraq Digital’s podcast that the Indian-backed narrative falsely claims that militants are forced into such actions.
He questioned what kind of compulsion could justify such behavior. According to him, the only compulsion was the lure of dollars, the desire to serve foreign agendas, and the pursuit of luxury and overseas travel.
He criticized certain elements who create a false drama around missing persons. When individuals like Naeem Satakzai are killed during operations in the mountains, the same people claim that he was “forced” to go there.
Achakzai emphasized that the government has already made education free up to the PhD level, created job opportunities, and opened avenues for business. With such initiatives in place, he asked, who exactly is blackmailing or forcing these individuals? He strongly rejected the idea that anyone is being compelled by the state.
He further added that when Zeeshan Zaheer Baloch disappeared, a narrative was quickly spread accusing the state of abducting citizens. But when he was later killed in internal clashes in the mountains, the truth behind the conflict emerged—it was all part of a power struggle driven by greed for dollars. These conflicts within the militant ranks are rooted in greed, disputes, infighting, and jealousy, inevitably leading to casualties.

Speaking about Mehrang Baloch’s father, Ghaffar Langov, Achakzai said that people should refer to the YouTube channel featuring Mama Qadeer, where it is clearly stated that Langov was a terrorist commander in the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). Yet, some people portray him as a hero, completely distorting the truth.
