Militancy has declined in Balochistan: CM Bugti

QUETTA: The CM Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has said that the graph of militancy has dropped down quite considerably in the recent time.

He was addressing to a tribal Jirga in Dera Murad Jamali.  The DG FC Balochistan was also present during the ceremony.

The chief minister said that 1397 students of Balochistan have been provided with the scholarships.

He further said that 500 grid stations will be launched to cope with the power crisis across Balochistan.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti further said that Kachhi Kanal will now be named Pakistan Kanal.

He said that the Jirga have already talked about seven new Balochistan districts.

It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the provincial government has accelerated development efforts with a focus on security, education, energy, and infrastructure.

The improvement in the law and order situation has helped create a more stable environment for development, enabling the government to initiate and expand public welfare projects across the province.

Key initiatives include the provision of scholarships to thousands of Balochistan students to promote higher education, the launch of hundreds of new grid stations to address the long-standing electricity crisis, and progress on major water and irrigation projects such as the renaming and revival of the Kachhi Canal as the Pakistan Canal.

In addition, administrative reforms and proposals for new districts aim to improve governance and service delivery, reflecting the provincial government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
