ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds and thunderstorms in Balochistan and other parts of the country, indicating the possibility of an increase in the intensity of the monsoon next week.
The Meteorological Department informed that the thundershowers are likely in Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan from August 14 to 17, while rains are predicted in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh from August 18 to 21.
Intermittent rain is likely in several cities of Punjab, while rain and strong winds are also predicted in various parts of Sindh and Balochistan.

Heavy rains are likely to cause flooding in storm drains, while landslides and traffic disruptions are likely in mountainous areas.
The Meteorological Department has directed citizens to be cautious.
