ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature in Balochistan, Sindh and South Punjab is expected to be 4 to 6 degrees higher than normal as heat wave continues across the country.
The Met department informed that the intense heat wave will continue to May 20. The citizens were directed to take precautionary measures in the intense heat, as most areas of the country will remain in the grip of intense heat for the next three to four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, weather will remain hot and dry in Upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The highest temperature was recorded in Rahim Yar Khan, Jacobabad, Turbat at 48 degrees Celsius. DG Khan, Nokundi, Dadu, Sukkur recorded 47 degrees Celsius, Lahore recorded 42, while the maximum temperature in Islamabad was 40 degrees Celsius.
