QUETTA: The district administration of Mastung has dismissed 18 Levies personnel from service over duty negligence. The personnel include an officer and 17 soldiers.
According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Mastung, the personnel were found guilty of serious negligence and incompetence during duty. The notification said that this dismissal action has been taken in the context of the terrorist attack in Kurdgap tehsil on June 21, 2025.
The Levies station and NADRA office were damaged during the attack, while valuable government weapons and communication equipment were stolen. The Levies force proved to be completely ineffective in this incident.

The statement said that action was taken in the light of the initial investigation report of the Assistant Commissioner Kurdgap and all the personnel have been dismissed immediately under the Balochistan Levies Force Disciplinary Rules 2015.
According to the Deputy Commissioner Mastung, this decision was taken in the light of the clear instructions of the Balochistan government and the Home Department so that the efficiency and discipline of the force could be maintained.
