LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed deep sadness over the tragic loss of lives caused by recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). In this regard, Maryam Nawaz showed deep condolences to the grieved families and voiced grief over the martyrdoms in a recent helicopter crash linked to the ongoing disaster relief operations.
She assured her counterpart that the Punjab government was ready to extend all possible resources and assistance to the people of KP in this hour of crisis. In this regard, CM Ali Amin Gandapur expressed gratitude to the Punjab chief minister for her call and kind words of support. Meanwhile, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and flash floods have unleashed devastation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of KP reported that in the districts of Battagram, Bajaur, and Mansehra alone, cloudbursts and landslides have claimed 210 lives, while 21 others sustained injuries.

The PDMA further disclosed that among the deceased were 184 men, 14 women, and 12 children, while the injured included 12 men, two women, and one child.
