ISLAMABAD: Property tycoon Malik Riaz’s digital platform, Nukta, has laid off at least 40 employees due to a financial crisis.
Nukta, which operates from Dubai, fired more than 40 employees amid financial difficulties. Sources said the sudden layoffs have caused concern among the staff.
Nukta is a digital news platform officially launched in late 2024. The headquartered of the Nukta is in Dubai. Prominent Anchor Kamran Khan, who was then serving in Dunya TV, had appointed as head of the new platform.

It is pertinent to mention here that Malik Riaz, who is also based in Dubai, has been declared a proclaimed offender in Pakistan in several corruption and money‑laundering cases.
