Turbat: The National Party Makran Region held a meeting at the residence of Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch in Turbat, chaired by Regional Secretary Waja Abul Hassan.
The central president of the party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, attended as the chief guest.
During the meeting, participants discussed organizational matters, the prevailing political situation, the water crisis in Gwadar, the closure of border trade, and several other political and social issues in detail.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch said that border trade serves as the primary source of livelihood for hundreds of thousands of people, and its closure has severely impacted the local population.
He highlighted that unemployment has become a critical issue and urged the government to create job opportunities for the youth.
Dr. Baloch called on the authorities to take urgent and effective steps to ease the hardships faced by those associated with border trade.
Expressing deep concern over the acute water shortage in Gwadar, he said that despite billions being spent under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the people of Gwadar still struggle for access to clean water.
He emphasized the need for emergency measures to resolve the issue. Dr. Baloch reaffirmed that the National Party stands as a pro-people political force and will continue to raise its voice for public issues at every forum.
He further stated that the party believes in democratic politics and urged workers to spread the party’s message and political vision in an organized manner at the grassroots level.
Referring to the last general elections, he claimed that despite winning through hard work, the party’s mandate was altered through Form-47.
Regional Secretary Waja Abul Hassan Baloch also addressed the meeting, announcing that regular organizational activities and political circles would be held across all districts.
He further declared that the death anniversary of Shaheed Dr. Yaseen Baloch would be observed with great respect on November 12, and all party workers should prepare actively for the public gathering.
During the session, a tour committee comprising representatives from all three districts of the Makran Region was formed.
