Major Adil confesses that he defamed Brigadier Rashid

LONDON: YouTuber Major Adil Raja confesses the allegations of defaming Brigadier Rashid Naseer after the court’s verdict.

The London High Court has delivered a decisive verdict in favor of Brigadier Rashid Naseer, after UK-based YouTuber and commentator Adil Raja was found guilty of making false and defamatory statements against him.

The court ruled that all allegations made by Raja were entirely baseless and intended to tarnish Brigadier Rashid’s reputation.

As part of the judgment, Adil Raja has been ordered to pay £50,000 in damages along with substantial legal costs.

Additionally, he must immediately cover interim legal expenses totaling £260,000.

The court also directed Raja to publish a prominent summary of the ruling on all his social media accounts for 28 consecutive days, ensuring that it reaches the same audience that had previously seen his defamatory content.

The court stated that Raja’s claims, made in June 2022, regarding the Punjab elections, alleged secret meetings, and purported “regime change” narratives, were entirely fabricated, unsupported by any evidence, and driven by malicious intent.

The allegations were deemed a deliberate attempt to defame and had no basis in reality.

Furthermore, the High Court prohibited Raja from making or repeating any such defamatory statements in the future.

Non-compliance could lead to contempt of court proceedings, additional fines, or imprisonment.

Several sensitive claims made by Raja were ruled inadmissible and must be permanently removed from circulation.

The judgment also set a deadline of 22 December 2025 for all financial payments and mandated that a direct link to the official court ruling be clearly displayed across all of Raja’s digital platforms.

The ruling marks a major legal victory for Brigadier Rashid and reinforces accountability for spreading defamatory content online.
