Low-flying Pakistan Air Force jets over Kandahar, Afghanistan, area echoes with the crackle of gunfire

KANDAHAR: The reports have emerged of low-flying fighter jets believed to be from the Pakistan Air Force flying over areas near Kandahar in southern Afghanistan.

The residents in parts of Kandahar province said they observed military aircraft flying at unusually low altitudes during the early hours of the day.

In this regard, witnesses claimed the loud sound of jets passing overhead created panic in nearby communities, with some people reporting that the area echoed with the sound of gunfire shortly afterward.

In this sense, the local residents told regional media that the sudden appearance of the jets caused fear and confusion.

There has been no immediate confirmation or response from the Pakistan Air Force regarding the reported low-altitude flights. Officials from the Afghan authorities have also not publicly verified the claims.
