It is worth mentioning that the Levies Force in Balochistan is a traditional law enforcement agency responsible for maintaining peace and order, particularly in rural and tribal areas.

Established during the British era, it operates under the provincial government and is composed mainly of local recruits familiar with the region’s terrain and customs.

The force performs duties such as crime prevention, maintaining security, and supporting administrative operations.

However, over time, concerns about training standards and limited resources have prompted discussions on replacing the Levies with a formal police system.

Despite this, the Levies remain an important symbol of local governance and community-based security in Balochistan.
