CHAGHI: Hundreds of Levies Force personnel have refused to perform duties in the police force until a court decision is made.
According to details, more than eight hundreds of Levies personnel held a meeting in Chaghi and they decided that Levies Force personnel, Risaldar Majors and Dafdars of Chaghi district have refused to perform duties in the police force. This decision was taken in a joint meeting of Levies Force personnel and Risaldar Majors.
During the meeting, Risaldar Major Munir Ahmed Hasni, Risaldar Zafar Iqbal Noweti, Risaldar Malik Muhammad Noweti, Risaldar Haji Qadir Bakhsh Joshanzai, Sher Ali Sanjrani, Muhammad Mubeen Muhammad Qasim. Hundreds of Levies Force personnel participated were present in the event.
While addressing the Levies Force personnel, Risaldar Qadir Bakhsh Joshanzai said that the Balochistan Levies Force is a tribal and regional force and this force is not of today but has been happily performing duties in various remote and difficult areas of the district since the British era and has been performing its duties with grace. The Levies Force is capable of maintaining law and order in the entire area despite very limited and limited resources and the Levies Force has also maintained law and order, but a tribal force that is being merged into the police overnight is unacceptable.
Joshanzai said that Levies Force are being humiliated by making them subordinate to the lowest police sentries, which the Levies Force will not tolerate under any circumstances. Therefore, until a court decision is made, the Chagai Levies Force will not work in the police under any circumstances. Finally, the Levies Force personnel raised the flag of the Levies Force and Pakistan Zindabad slogans. The participants pledged that no Levies officer will work until the Levies Force is restored to its old system.

It is worthy to be mentioned that a petition was filed in the Honorable High Court of Chagai Levies Force against the merger of Levies into the police, which is under hearing. The court has also issued a stay order in this regard.
