DERA BUGTI: As many as two people were killed and another injured in a landmine explosion in the Pat Feeder area of Dera Bugti district of Balochistan.
Levies officials confirmed the victims were reportedly passing through the area when they stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED), which detonated with a powerful blast. Two individuals died on the spot, while one sustained serious injuries. The injured was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Security forces arrived at the scene shortly after the explosion, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation.

The authorities suggest after the initial investigations that the landmine was planted deliberately to target locals or security personnel.
