ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the restart of its flight operations from Lahore to London, marking the return of this route after a six-year suspension.
The first flight, PK-757, is scheduled to depart from Lahore for London on March 30.
All flights operating from Lahore to London will land at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4.
London is among PIA’s earliest international destinations, and with the resumption of these services, the airline’s total weekly flights to the United Kingdom will increase to seven.
Prior to the suspension, PIA was operating ten weekly flights between Pakistan and London.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the number of flights to London will be increased gradually.
The airline has already announced the launch of three weekly flights from Islamabad to London, which are set to begin on March 29.
The resumption of PIA flight operations marks an important step toward restoring the airline’s international network and reconnecting Pakistan with key global destinations.
After facing prolonged suspensions on several routes, the restart of operations reflects improved regulatory conditions, renewed confidence from aviation authorities, and efforts by PIA to strengthen its service footprint abroad.
This revival is expected to benefit passengers through better travel options, enhanced connectivity, and increased competition in international air travel.
Gradual expansion of routes and frequencies also signals PIA’s strategy to rebuild trust, stabilize operations, and regain its position in major markets, particularly in Europe and the United Kingdom.
